You know all day I make a sort of mental list of all the things that I can blog about that night and somehow, EVERY SINGLE DAY, I get in front of the computer and *poof* it just leaves me and I end up doing a workout/food update which is important but it always feels like I have so much more to share with you guys!
Well today is no different, I seem to have not much to say but it is the start of spring break (whoohoo!) and I'm afraid I'm not doing anything too exciting but staying in town. My best friend who left college this semester after she was diagnosed with cancer is coming into town so the girls are going to show her a good time and I'm looking forward to this. I think we both need it to rejuvenate and just hang out so I'm excited for all the great memories to be made this upcoming week!
I hit the gym today and braved the stair master even though I did C25k yesterday and my legs were a little sore...needless to say, the stair master whooped my ass like it always does but boy is it worth it for that feeling after you get off!! ...If only I could bottle that feeling... I'd be making millions...
OH and I've been meaning to address some questions in the blog but never got around to it.
- For those of you that are following my food journals, I enter them in on Weight Watchers, e-tools. I've gotten some questions about the template so thats where I get it from.
-Also, I usually don't enter zero point foods in so things like a small salad, I don't enter in b/c on WW veggies are zero points. I do add in veggies if I eat more than 2 cups of anything because I do think that a whole bunch of zeros will add to something eventually.
-I eat a lot of oatmeal. Its a staple in my diet. I probably should do a post just dedicated to my love for oatmeal. The reason that I am able to eat it all day long is I don't mind the consistency of it when I put it in soups and such...therefore I do with oatmeal what some people do with spaghetti squash. I make a lot of things that could go "on top of rice" (I eat a lot of Indian/Asian food so thats basically A LOT of things) and just substitute in the rice for oatmeal. If this sounds really gross or weird, no worries, I thought so at first too but I actually love it now. I love the consistency of it, and after a week or 2 (or a year like I've been doing it) you get used to it. I actually crave oatmeal in my diet on days when I don't get it because its perfect for adding bulk and fiber and trust me, I can always tell when I'm not getting enough fiber ;)
- I have a hard time eating meals at traditional meal times. I don't follow an 8-5 schedule and I do go to school and I am a senior who is also job searching, has a part time job, tutors at a high school and is desperately searching for post graduation jobs/plans. Between all of that, I have a really varied schedule and some late nights/early mornings and sometimes just plain crazy. That said, I do try and streamline my eating as much as possible around my class schedule. So if you see lunch time type meals for breakfast or something, its probably because I got a late start etc. etc.
Okay, so I guess I did have stuff to say. I'm gonna go curl up on the couch with Ms. Carrie Bradshaw and the girls. I'm exhausted and I have to be up at 6:30 am tomm to make it to my 7:30 am WW weigh in.
