Day 6: Doing so-so

So today was just incredibly busy...like run all day, not sure if you have time to eat (but I made time ha) busy but I think I did okay...I did go over points at the end of the day but I'm learning. I'm learning that an all or nothing attitude gets you nowhere good. I thought that I had blown it all day long so what did I do, I indulged at night. If I had just taken a moment to really face the facts, I would have stayed within my points range for the day. So lesson learned? Taking control is a moment to moment thing...the past doesn't affect the decisions of RIGHT NOW. Control lies in our hands RIGHT NOW. Yes, we made mistakes in the past, yes we messed up but whats the point of continuing to do it? Punishing yourself for the time that you messed up? No, control starts NOW, right now.

Oh and I practiced what I realized: Since I ate so much during the day, I did not touch a single thing at this dinner I attended. (my best friend's 22nd b-day dinner). I just grabbed some water and enjoyed conversations and catching up with people I hadn't seen in a while. Plus the party started at 9 pm anyway so I had a good enough excuse to have eaten earlier...who the heck waits till 9:30 to eat dinner for the first time? :) Due to said busy day, I didn't have time to make it to the gym but I definitely plan on being there on Friday!
